Workshop: From Clay to Table

PAINT CRAFT STYLE

Saturday, March 21st

10 - 2

Join Boston-based artist Jill Rosenwald, Italian stylist Beatrice Sannino Collective and Studio Four Six for a workshop celebrating pottery, ribbon and the art of gathering. Born from our many collaborations around the art of the table settings, this workshop brings pottery, ribbon and design together in one inspiring day.

The workshop is divided into three parts:

PART I: Hand-Painted Pottery with Jill Rosenwald
Each guest will be provided with a white earthenware bud vase, wheel-thrown in advance by Jill’s team. Jill will begin with a lively, hands-on demonstration, sharing her approach to patterns, color palettes and her creative process. You will then learn the art of hand-painted pottery by painting one of Jill’s signature designs onto your own piece. No experience is necessary, just come ready to create!

After the workshop, Jill’s team will professionally finish your vase with a glossy glaze and her signature 14k gold rim. Your heirloom-quality piece will be ready in approximately two weeks after the class for pickup at Studio Carta.

PART II: Ribbon Floral Napkin Rings with Studio Four Six
Next, you’ll create a ribbon napkin ring to take home, something beautiful and personal that you can easily recreate at your next gathering. Using Studio Carta ribbons, you’ll design a napkin ring incorporating ribbon and fresh flowers, adding a thoughtful, handmade touch to any seasonal table.

Along the way, you’ll learn helpful tips and tricks for shaping, tying, and layering the ribbon so you can confidently recreate the design again at your home.

PART III: The Art of Table Setting with stylist Beatrice Sannino Collective
To complete the experience, Beatrice will guide you through the art of table setting and the styling of a layered tablescape. You’ll learn how to combine natural textures, seasonal details and fresh florals by Whimsy Floral Studio to elevate and bring the table to life.

LOCATION: Studio Carta

501 Heath Street, Suite 2, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

PHONE: 617.730.3788

The workshop includes all materials.

Complimentary refreshments and signature espresso will be served.

Bonus: All attendees receive 10% off Studio Carta products, valid before or after the workshop, the perfect chance to bring home your favorites!
