Our story
Born and raised in Rome the daughter of a dressmaker, Angela Liguori grew up immersed in the tactile.
From her early studies in Renaissance Art History and book binding in Bologna to her various art residencies in the USA, Angela continues to bring the craftsmanship and artistry of her Italian heritage to every creation. In 2004, she interwove her passion for paper and design into a showroom, shop, workshop, and studio space. Studio Carta has since expanded its reach globally through Italian-made ribbons and accessories as well as through its collaborations with world-renowned designers and behind-the-scenes studio tours.

Our light-filled, 2,000 square foot studio and shop in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts is open weekdays from 11 am to 5 pm. Closed on the weekend.
